Guide to Python RPG

Assuming you've read the rules to the rpg (and if not, you should read them), you know a little bit about how to play the game but you need more info to play your role confidently. Here are some tips to help you on your way:

1. Always write in the third person.: This just makes for easier reading and is more helpful for the rest of the RPers who need to respond to a post.

2. Know how to "play" off of someone.: This is pretty obvious but an issue for some people that can be easily remedied by taking the time to read the person's entire post and communicating with everyone who is in the scene . Example of what not to do: In the cheese shop sketch, michaels character would start handing John's character cheese. This isnt right!!

3. Try to capture the essence of your character:: This is technically the same as the rule "staying in character" but it doesn't hurt to repeat it. Staying true to your character can only help the other members stay true to theirs.

4. Each thread must only contain one scene at a time with the same character. To avoid any confusion, each scene or thread must only deal with one location. For instance, if your character is in a scene that takes place at the petshop you wouldn't just have that character leave the room and end up in a random Pepperpot home. Just because your character left the scene doesn't mean the other characters aren't still there. You would then start another thread where your character is in that random shop and bumps into whoever.

5. I cannot stress this enough: Communicate! Communicate! Communicate! I know a lot of us like to be spontaneous and are busy that's fine but we need to have a general idea of what each scene will accomplish and discussing each scene that we're in will only help matters.
